![]() we've been fans of Matthew Niederhauser's photography ever since he caught our eye with his book Sound Kapital, which by many accounts was the western world's first glimpse into Beijing's underground music scene. That's why when we received an email from him a couple months back letting us know he was coming out to Chongqing for an assignment, we were both bummed and excited. Bummed because we weren't going to be around to meet him, but excited to see the images he would come out with. Those images, part of this story for Foreign Policy magazine are now available online, here. The images do a wonderful job of capturing the shear magnitude of Chongqing, and inspire awe, even for a three or so year veteran of the city. 1 Comment |
