Rumors have been circulating about a fully developed CiCi Square district that can offer Chongqing a full underground scene.  On Sunday, these rumors became closer to reality.  SVIP club has opened down the way from CiCi Park, offering a higher-class alternative to CiCi’s electro-scene.

As a big fan of the CiCi Square area, I am thrilled to see SVIP offering wine, bottle service, and Hookah’s.  Attending the opening on Sunday, I was shocked to see packed tables full of Chinese friends enjoying Hookah.  As far as I have seen, SVIP is the only place to find this luxury in the club scene. 

SVIP is working close with CiCi Park to develop a strong electronic scene in CQ.  An underground hip-hop club is being developed across the way from CiCi & SVIP, and many locations are still up for grabs.  Anyone want to open a club?

I checked it out, and a, also a big fan. Love the hookahs, and atmosphere. Found out that the space was designed by a Kevin, a fellow ex-pat from Italy.
